How not to get sick

Zinc - make sure you are getting enough zinc in your diet or take zinc supplements it has been proven that zinc can shorten the duration of the common cold by over 30% and may be beneficial in helping to avoid or reduce the potency of a whole bunch of other viruses and sicknesses. Meat, fish and nuts contain zinc but deficiencies are still very common so it wouldnt hurt to do some research to see if your diet provides enough zinc to help boost your immune system.

Alcohol - If you drink alcohol then you should Stop or reduce alcohol use as it is a real poison, the effects it has on our brains and on our mood is a side effect of the poison yet billions of us still use it. Next time you drink alcohol notice how often you develop things like sores in your mouth the following day, this is because the poison has depleted your bodies vitamins and nutrients and left your immune system very low. A low immune system will allow viruses an easy entry into your body so seriously stop poisoning yourself with alcohol.

Sleep - You will want to make sure you get at least 7 hours sleep although 8 hours is ideal, your body will not fight viruses to the best of its abilities if your sleeping less than 7 hours. If you don't get enough sleep you will notice you will feel the cold more than usual you will feel hungry more than usual and you may also feel more sexually aroused more than usual. The chemicals in your brain aren't functioning as they should because you need more sleep and the other thing that wont function correctly is your immune system, sleep is the best cure for most common sicknesses but its also one of the best ways to prevent illnesses and viruses in the first place.

Excersise - Your physical state is directly connected to your mental state, when you have good cardio and good fitness in general you are far less likely to feel down and depressed and there have been plenty of studies to show people who are unfit are more likely to be down and are also more likely to develop a wide range of illnesses. Sleep and exercise in the correct amounts will change your life for the better once you start the correct habits you need to force yourself to stick to it for a few months and it will easily become a permanent habit. If you find running boring switch to swimming,1 hour of swimming burns between 400-550 calories and is good for cardio and mental health.
