According to the studies people drinking more than two carbonated artificially sweetened drinks per day have an increased risk of developing coronary heart disease or having a stroke therefore increasing the risk of a premature death.

Fizzy drinks are bad for pregnant women

Carbonated soda is not good for pregnant women especially if it contains caffeine and artificial sweeteners. When a woman is pregnant it is ideal for her to consume the most natural foods and drinks as possible. Highly caffeinated soda will increase the risk of miscarriages, these fizzy drinks can also cause birth defects and premature delivery.

 

 A lot of carbonated soda's contain large amounts of artificial ingredients, colors and flavors all of which usually have no nutritional value.

For obvious reasons pregnant woman should not fill their body's full of artificial chemicals and ingredients that have had nowhere near enough research to be deemed 100% safe for the growing human fetus inside of them.

Another reason why fizzy soda drinks are bad for pregnant women is that these drinks usually contain no nutritional value unless it is artificially added into the drinks, and they also cause heartburn and acid reflux which can be a big problem during pregnancy.

A bloated stomach is usually caused by too much gas in your gut, although this can often be caused by a large variety of foods it is definitely the case that fizzy pop and carbonated drinks will also cause stomach bloating and excess gas.

But it is too early to suggest fizzy and carbonated soda causes memory loss, dementia and Alzheimer's for definite.

Studies carried out on both men and women have shown the women who consumed more than 3 fizzy drinks per week had a higher chance of developing pancreatic cancer by around 57% tan women who drank 1 or less per week.

As for the men in the study the data didn't show any links between the soda drinkers and risk of pancreatic cancer.
