Are dart boards bigger than they used to be ?

Darts is classed as a sport as well as on English traditional pub game, some may say darts is not a sport as it not physical enough but you could say the same about many sports like snooker or archery for example both considered sports also.

So is darts a cheap sport to play or is it expensive? well pretty cheap actually you can get a high quality set of darts with a good dartboard for around £60 in total.

Is darts hard to play ?

Is darts difficult to learn ? this depends on how good your hand eye coordination is, if you already have good hand eye coordination you may pick it up very quickly. With a few days practice you will notice your accuracy increases by the day and after years of playing darts your hand eye coordination will likely be extremely good.

How to hold a dart for beginners

Where should your fingers be when throwing darts? well the most common grip and best for beginners is to first hold a pen the way you normally would and transfer that exact same grip onto your darts your fingers should be in the grip part of the dart.

This will usually involve your thumb and 2 or 3 fingers but remember to hold the dart as lightly as possible because tight grips will scupper your accuracy when you release the dart from your hand.

Do darts players get drug tested ?

Yes darts players do get drug tested as part of the anti doping regulations in the world darts federation.
